This historic church has graced Atlanta even before the Civil War. Founded in 1848, the First Presbyterian Church of Atlanta is housed in a striking stone behemoth on Peachtree Street next door to the High Museum of Art. The church is known for its music programs and vibrant congregations. The church enjoys a 2,600 strong membership with members belonging to different age, cultural and ethnic groups.

Through their ministries, they offer dynamic worship services with biblically based sermons and inspiring music, an outstanding Christian education program for all ages, an extensive pastoral care and counseling program, and a global missions program extending throughout the city and around the world. Founded in 1848, we are a congregation of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

The church is accessible to people with disabilities and provides audio- visual aids to such people for worship services. The church is active in humanitarian activities and participates in healthcare, nutrition, education and agriculture projects; in partnership with churches and seminaries in Haiti, Brazil and Kenya.
