Atlanta Braves

You know someone is not really acquainted with Atlanta Sport if he has to ask who the Atlanta Braves are. The Atlanta Braves are a pro baseball team which was named after Native American Indian braves (the warrior class of these indigenous Americans.) The Atlanta Braves, who count Atlanta, Georgia as home base, had helped make Atlanta Sport more popular in the 1990s – their glory days in the 20^th century. Despite a baseball strike in 1994, Atlanta Sport saw the Atlanta Braves win for 14 straight years (during years 1991 to 2005) in their own division. Not a bad record.

Atlanta Falcons

Another Atlanta Sport which every self-respecting American sport junkie knows about is American football - and the Atlanta Falcons are an Atlanta-based football team. The Atlanta Falcons are 41-year veterans of this Atlanta Sport who now boast of a 258-374-6 record. The Atlanta Falcons also have their own de facto radio station – WZGC – which may be better known to Atlanta Falcons’ fans as Dave FM. Though not the most accomplished in this Atlanta Sport, the Atlanta Falcons may be better known for their numerous uniform changes over the years. One player, Michael Vick, gained a degree of notoriety this 2007 after being convicted of dog fighting allegations in Virginia.
