The Clermont Lounge evolved from the 1956 upscale Super Club. Known to be Atlanta's oldest strip club, it was thrown open to the public in 1955. Located in the basement of Clermont Hotel, the lounge is the perfect hot stop for fun seekers at night.

They have been featured on Comedy Central's "Insomniac with Dave Attell" and have received numerous "awards" for their unique atmosphere and service.

Celebrities such as Kid Rock, Marilyn Manson, and Jon Stewart, have waxed eloquent about it. The Clermont is where in- and out- of- towners going more for the mystique than the show. Everything about the place and people is like weathered velvet: soft, semi- inviting but threadbare.

Weekends witness a surge of young crowd coming to shake a leg and carouse. One of the strange clientele in this night club is ''Blondie'', the lounge star attraction who exhibits an unusual method for crushing beer cans. The music pumps loud and the dance floor does not slow down until the wee hours.
