Drum Cafe

Mersmerising music greets you to sweep you off your feet at Drum Cafe. The cafe provides each person with a traditional African drum. Master facilitators and musicians teaches you how to play and how listen to one another. Within 15 minutes your company will be creating music.

The Drum Café brings the powerful African technique to modern boardrooms and offers the possibility of participating in an event that promotes the power of communication, synergy, harmony and team building through interactive drumming.

When people walk in, an incredible right greets them when they find 200 drums laid out on the seats, while pulsating, rhythmic foot- tapping music fills the room. Slowly, people find their way to their seats, all staring at each other with smiles on their faces, not knowing really how to deal with the drum that is now in their lap.

Over the period of an hour, the cafe guides the participants through a structured program designed to meet the specific needs of the group keeping the circle “humming' and the participants engaged. They are introduce to percussion instruments, sometimes fire jugglers, dancers and didgeridoo players. After 60 - 80 minutes of rhythmic group interaction the drumbers leave the group to get on with work in a good mood.
